Literacy Ideas All This site explains to students how to write a range of text types such as procedural texts, narratives, etc. It is all free.

Maths

Website Ages Description
Prodigy Ages 6-13 Online Maths games. This website is all free, but you will need to set up an account.
Khan Academy Primary Especially good for maths and computing for all ages but other subjects at Secondary level. Note this uses the U.S. grade system but it mostly common material.

National Geographic Kids All This site includes a large collection of videos, interactive activities, and fun games that will keep children of all ages engaged for hours on end. National Geographic Kids’ site is broken down into helpful subcategories for ease of navigating your child’s learning.
Each section contains extensive and informative write-ups on different animals from lions to whales supported with world class National Geographic footage. Each section also includes memory games, quizzes, and other different activities to reinforce their learning by applying their new found knowledge.
Kids News Yr 3-Yr 8 Kids News is proudly supported by News Corp Australia. Articles on kidsnews.com.au are based on content from the many publications within the News Corp Australia network, written for kids of different reading levels.
Includes classroom activities for each news article, linked to the Australian Curriculum.
ABC Education RE-Yr 10 ABC Education brings you thousands of free, curriculum-linked resources for Primary and Secondary students and teachers. This includes games, videos, articles and BTN.
Behind the News (BTN) Ages 8-13 Behind the News (more commonly known as BTN) is a long-running news programme broadcast on the ABC made in Adelaide and aimed at school-aged children (8–13 years of age) to help them understand issues and events outside their own lives.
Behind the News also covers children’s issues often overlooked by mainstream news, and makes use of online resources including streaming video of BTN stories, study materials for teachers and additional information and arduous activities for students. BTN explains news items in a simplistic way that is trendy and makes good use of children’s attention spans.
Scratch All Online coding. Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world.
