Library/Resource Centre Borrowing

Students can borrow from our large range of library resources during library lesson times with their class teacher or independently, using library passes.
Reception to year 2 students are asked to use a material bag to bring their books to and from home.

Borrowing Limits

Our library books can be borrowed for up to two weeks but can be exchanged every day.
R-2 students can borrow 3 books at a time.
3-5 students can borrow 4 books at a time.
6-7 students can borrow 5 books at a time.

Opening Hours

Students can use the library at recess and lunch to play games, draw, borrow and read.

The library is also open for borrowing most Mondays to Fridays before school at 8:30am-8:50am and after school from 3:15pm-3:55pm. Parents are welcome to help their children select and borrow books at these times.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

Students are encouraged to take part in the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Students are asked to read eight books from the Premier’s Reading Challenge list and the other four books can be the student’s choice.
These books are easy to find in our library collection as they have a Premier’s Reading Challenge sticker on their spine.
Students in Reception and Year 1 may complete the Challenge supported by their class teacher.
Class teachers of students in year 2 to year 7 will give a Student Reading Record to their students to fill in and return to their class teacher when they’ve completed the Challenge. The Challenge begins in January and ends in September.
You can find out more about the Premier’s Reading Challenge at their website here.

Book Week

Book Week is held in third term each year. It is when we celebrate our amazing Australian authors, literature, reading and writing.
